Pruning Services
Pruning for health, shape, and vigour is how it's doe at My Urban Garden, and one of Michael's specific specialties. Proper pruning is not
just a proper cut...it is also the understanding of how the plant will react to the cut. Where will new growth emerge? Where is new growth wanted?
Michael takes personal pride in his pruning abilities, and welcomes the opportunity to bring a tree or shrub's innate character to life through the
clean removal of old, dead, or diseased wood, and the thinning and shaping achieved through deliberate and planned cuts.
Plantings
Hedges, specimens, seasonal colour, simple replacement...
...whatever the reason for yor planting, let My Urban Garden help ensure its survival and health. All non-container plantings are done with
an innoculation of Mychorrizal fungi to give them an immediate boost. As the new roots extend through the soil, they come into contact with dormant spores
which germinate on contact with the new root.
Hedge Trimming
Some hedges can tolerate a power trimmer, but most respond best when trimmed by hand, with shears, secateurs, and pruning saw. Tools are used
according to the plants tolerance of them, and cuts with future growth in mind.
Pricing
All jobs are priced on an hourly basis ($40/hr) plus expenses, if any, plus disposal ($50-$150), if needed.
Typical charges for average jobs...
- Tree Pruning - $175-$350.
- Shrub Pruning - $50-$100.
- Hedge Trimming - $475-$750.
